IBM bought out the rights and manufacturing for the Electromatic line of typewriters and slowly started to modify and rebrand them. This 1946 example has IBM, Electromatic, and International all printed on it which are three different brands the machine was known as.
The example shown here is slightly unusual, it has numerical 1 and 0 key which is not common for typewriters of this era. Most Electromatics do not have these either. This machine also has "small caps" style lower case letter where they are the same glyphs as the upper case letters, just smaller and justified lower down to match the line.

- Power Roller cams stuck - Cleaned grease with solvent and relubricated
- Hammers weak - cleaned basket with solvent and paper
- Belt broke - Replaced with flat nylon non-stretching shoelace with end cut, folded over, sewn, and a small keyring looped through
- No Bell - Clapper was mis-aligned and caught on linkage
- Weak carriage return/Clutch Spring - Lubricant on carriage return tension spring turned sticky and prevented proper operation of pulley. Tore down clutch to clean/lube clock spring.
